Tiny Kitty Not Moving

When I got back from dinner with wifey, one of the two kitties ( Pie ) was not moving, just laying static there. Took this video before went to the emergency vet. Vet was not hopeful and said some sort of viral infection and alot of air in the tummy. Pie is very dehydrated too. 2 jabs were given to him, antibiotic and another is  for dehydration. No feeding require at the moment and if he can get up first thing tomorrow morning, then he has a chance to survive and I have to bring him in immediately for follow up. The body temperature drop a little too.

Coco Constant Vomitting 21Nov08

A quick update on coco, video below was taken yesterday (Saturday) at the vet clinic. coco has been very sick last few days, constant vomitting and jessie has to bring her to the vet immediately on Friday. This is what vet said when coco was brought in : 'The kitten was in critical condition due to exhaustion from frequent vomitting. The kitten was more active and alert when I left the clinic but with poor prognosis cause the condition still unstable. We should know by tomorrow, it's fate'
We went very early the next day and the video below shows that the critical condition is over. Goodness!

Visionless Kitty Coco 10oct2008

A quick update on the visionless kitty. She finally has a name! Jessie's mom named her Coco, very nice indeed!

The surgery will be carried out only after all vaccination completed which I think around next month. She could sense the motion as you can see in the video.

Visionless Kitty Going Home.

Just a quick update. I have brought the kitty to the vet 2 days ago and according to the vet, they are not cataracts. Surgery can be performed only 2 months later when the kitty is old enough. I am not sure what it is called however the vet said will only wait till 2 months later. Eye cream and deworming medicine was given too. We will visit the vet 2 weeks later for checkup routine. I have changed the title to vision less kitty instead of cataract ( since it isn't ) as I couldn't think of any other words!

Anyways, the kitty has gone back home today with the guardians ( Nicholas and Jessie ) and above is the photo that I shot this afternoon. Good Samaritans and both of them are vegetarians too! Woo hoo~!

Photos of Cataract Kitten

Took some photos of the cataract kitten. She is adorable and playful too. She is very tiny and if you look at the third photo from top, Ah Black is much much bigger than her :)
Hungry all the time as usual and I have to spoon feed her every 2 hours. She quite used to the spoon instead of syringe or kitty bottles. So far no poop yet! Just some urination. Enjoy the photos.

Fostering Blind Cataract Kitten

A good friend rang me yesterday and asked for my help to take care of his friend rescue kitty for 3 days. His friend rescued this kitty few days ago and he has to go to Kuala Lumpur ( 400 km ) for a short buisness trip. The kitty both eyes has cataract and I hardly see the pupils, both of them are cloudy white. I went to Khairul's place and borrow his spare cage. So far everything going great with the kitty. He drink lots of milk and luckily not meowing alot. He is playful too. Everyone in the house especially the fur kids are curious and anxiuos! I captured the video using my ustream capture utility. Photos will be up soon.

Sorry for the late updates! Been busy. Photo above is Zaireen, Khairul's sister and she has helped alot in taking care of the three cute little kitties.
I also bought some food for Bobo and the gang and a packet of diaper sheet for Alera. The pet store owner lady is so sweet and she gave me some free samples shampoo, both for doggie and kitties and also 6 packets of small vegetarian recipe food. I will use them for the homeless doggie on the streets. Will give some to Khairul's kitties too, the shampoo :)

Faith of Three Little Cute Kittens.

Got a missed call from Eddie this morning while I was still in bed. He then called Khairul instead and told him one of his opposite neighbors threw out three little kitties by the garbage area! After hearing this, I called Eddie straight away and told him we were going to get the kitties. Eddie did stop him and asked him why he did that. He simply answered the kitties created a lot of mess and smell in his compound. By the way, the neighbor just got back from long vacation according to Eddie. How could somebody so heartless by throwing three little helpless kitties, they are not even a month old and would not survive on their own. They obviously still waiting for their mother to come back as they are still need their mother's milk ( look at attached photos ).

Anyways, to cut the story short, they are now at Khairul's place, been to the vet for deworming and got them a packet of kitty food and milk powder. Video will be up very soon hopefully tomorrow. Give me some time :)

Thanks to Eddie for calling us or else the kitties might die due to hunger, dehydration or run over by cars.

*photos were taken at the vet.

Injured Hind Paws Cat

We were looking for this injured cat since last week when Khairul's friend called us. However we couldn't find him everywhere when we got there since a lot of cars and people at that area during that time. Last Friday while we were outside shopping for Khairul's webcam, his friend called again and this time they had the cat with them. Thank goodness! Without delay, we went there immediately. I did not carry my carrier at that time unfortunately. We managed to get the cat in my car and drove him off to Khairul's house. He was well behaved in the car, that was unexpected :)

The next day we brought him to the vet and according to the vet, the leg need to be amputated. At first we thought somebody has been tying him up as there was like some tying mark on the injured area but the vet said unlikely. However, it might possible, we never know. Anyway, the doc said surgery need to be done. The surgery will be carried out sometime next week and the cat is already staying there. He is in good hands and will update on him soon hopefully.

Drowning Kitty ( Snowy ) Updates 1December2007

Last week went over to Khairul's place and shot a very short video on Snowy. He is getting taller and happier with the gang there. Sorry for the late updates because I am too busy with Alera's biting wound and urinary tract infection. I have brought some wet can food for Khairul's kitties as well. Snowy is very playful and he will not go out far from the house which is a good thing. On day I will go to Khairul's house during day time so I have better videos on him at the compound. Have patience with me :)

Drowning Kitty Finally Got A Name !

We are not good in picking names. While spending time looking at some comments on the videos, a reader suggested Spot and Chris suggested Snowflake or Snowy while chatting online . Since the kitty is white like snow, we decided to go for Snowy. The name reminds me of Tin Tin comic, the genius doggie :)

Photos and video were taken yesterday while I was at Khairul's place. That's his sister in the picture with Snowy, her name is Zaireen. She take turns to look after the kitties too. Snowy is very playful and make friends very quickly with the rest and no longer spend her days in cage. He is free to roam anywhere in and out the house. When I said 'out the house' I meant within the compound. I was amazed how fast she got so friendly with others, that's wonderful. Mafia ( the black kitty with white socks ) got a friend to play with now and they look like buddies to me, same height and same size. LOLz

Buster's Videos From Carol ( Toronto )

Just check my mail a while ago and notice there were several videos from Carol showing Buster! I must say, wow! The little fellow is fast in moving and he looks stronger than Alera and very adorable too! Thanks to Carol for giving Buster a loving home and share these wonderful videos to all of us! Great videos and music too!

Kitty Jaw Dislocation At Vet

While picking up Mafia from the vet this evening and also visited the limping doggie, we saw this small little kitty with his jaw dislocated. It breaks our hearts to see him in this painful condition. He has to be force fed to keep up his energy and also not to be left dehydrated.

A good Samaritan brought him in. Two obvious reasons he had encountered this painful sufferings was either by accident or got beaten! Hope he will make it and the Samaritan will take him in.

Simba Crossing Rainbow Bridge :(

Got a call from the vet this afternoon and the doc told me that Simba already gone when he checked on him this morning. I was in shock and called Khairul immediately after that. My mind still very blank and do not know what to say. By the way, I just got back from Khairul's place where we buried Simba at his compound. From what the vet told me, Simba immune system was very weak, however while he was there, he did eat and pooped regularly, no sign of diarrhea or whatsoever sickness, just very weak. I just wish there is more explanation to this sudden death of Simba but as you know, in our country autopsy is not usually carried out on animals and even our vet friend do not perform autopsy since he is a very busy vet. We will be bringing Mafia back tomorrow.

Simba and Mafia Boarding

We sent Simba and Mafia to my friend's vet for boarding today because Khairul will be going back to hometown which is Perlis tomorrow morning for Hari Raya Aidilfitri holiday. Simba has grown taller ! He wasn't feeling well too since yesterday due to diarrhea. Fortunately Mafia is with him, so he won't feel alone in the cage, anyway I do not think they will feel alone since there are so many kitties there! From the video as you can see, he is now more socialable than before :)

Dead Kitten Found On Roadside

While driving tonight, I saw a dead kitten on the pavement beside a busy road. I happened to see these unfortunate small creatures whenever I am driving, not purposely focus on the pavement of course, I just see them at the right moment. Unfortunately he wasn't moving when I drove pass and I knew he was gone. Khairul helped me to bag him and the carcass was cold and my guess he probably dead for at least 10 to 20 hours, just my guess, I could be wrong. Just wish that we were in right time to save this little furry guy, but sadly there is nothing can be done now.
